Marianne North was a remarkable Victorian artist and botanist who travelled the world, breaking conventions and discovering new species of fauna and flora. Over her 14 years of global travel and adventure she created 848 paintings and even documented species that were not previously known to science. Our duster coats are a slightly heavier grade of fabric to our kimonos and throwovers adding an extra layer of luxury. They have an open front, delicate empire line pleating and buttoned leave which can be worn open or extra comfort. This stunning design is both stylish and versatile, whether you choose to wear our duster coat as a luxurious house coat, as part of a chic ensemble for during the day or over a little black dress during the evening.
